Sure, no Georgetown dinner party appetites were impaired by the cartels mowing down Mexican nationals. But now valuable California real estate is being threatened! It's become an assault on our way of life!
Bankrupt governments must be imagining with pained longing the potential tax revenue that legalization would deliver. An incident like this gives them an opportunity to argue that the hypocrisy of our current drug policies are a luxury we can no longer afford.
If nothing else, it will give Lou Dobbs some fresh material.
